Then I had this issue we are discussing on my TS. however no real fixes seem to be easily found. Apparently, on server2008, despite a domain-wide GPO was applied dictating the trusted sites zone, it seemed to be NOT applied to server2008 ! So any system that logged in when this GPO was active is affected that was in the OU where the script was said to run.

Trusted sites now appear normally in IE8. I can either walk to each of them manually and add a trusted site list or I can push it out to all of them in one quick swoop.
